What is your connection to Brimbank?

I moved to Keilor Downs in 1986. I attended Saint Mary McKillop Primary School and Keilor Downs Secondary College. I have watched the area grow and I have also watched the west continuously overlooked and neglected. I am passionate about our community and motivated to make Brimbank a better place for all.

What do you think is the greatest strength of the Brimbank Community?

Brimbank is filled with culture and diversity. We all live in harmony and it is our greatest strength. We have a great opportunity to embrace our diversity with more community events and great local cuisine.

What made you decide to run for Council?

I ran for Council as I am passionate about Brimbank. I have lived in the west all my life and in Brimbank since 1986. I have watched the west continuously neglected and the gap between east and west widen. I watched the community online demanding change and louder voices. This motivated me to put my hand up, to be active in the community and make a difference. I vow to listen to the community, to respond to queries, to be available, and to act in the best interests of the community and municipality.

What do you hope to achieve in your term as a Brimbank City Councillor?

I hope to make the best decisions on behalf of the community. I hope to be part of a successful council and to advocate for more funding for Brimbank. I aim to attract more visitors and investors whilst looking after the Proud Portfolio.  I would love to see more open green spaces, parks with updated equipment, better services for the disadvantaged, a focus on youth, and the widening of Taylors Road.

What is your favourite thing to do in Brimbank?

I really enjoy visiting our local parks, especially Brimbank Park and Linear Park. I also love to visit our local cafes and restaurants. I also really enjoy going to community events, meeting locals, and sampling our local produce and cuisine.
