Completed planning scheme amendments

Amendment C217brim proposes to correct a range of current anomalies (administrative errors and redundant provisions) in the Brimbank Planning Scheme.

This amendment applied the Environmental Audit Overlay (EAO) to the closed Sunshine Landfills area, which may be potentially contaminated as a result of those past activities and subsequent site remediation.

This amendment updated the interim Heritage Overlay (replacing Amendment C197) that applies to the Grand Junction Estate and Matthew’s Hill Precinct, Sunshine.

This Amendment implements the objectives of the Brimbank Parking Strategy 2019 - 2029, and the Sunshine Metropolitan Activity Centre Parking Plan 2021 and St Albans Major Activity Centre Parking Plan 2021 (Car Parking Plans), by providing statutory guidance for car parking provisions.

This amendment updates the incorporated in the ‘Grand Junction Estate and Matthew’s Hill Precinct Statement of Significance’ to further extend the expiry date for interim heritage controls on various properties.
