International Women's Day (IWD) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women and is celebrated each year on the 8 March.
The United Nations (UN) Theme for IWD 2024 is Count Her In: Invest in Women. Accelerate Progress.
We support this UN campaign for women to be given equal opportunities to earn, learn and lead so that entire communities can thrive.
Brimbank Council will deliver an exciting program of events that celebrate women’s achievements and aim to educate and promote awareness that our individual actions, conversations, behaviours and mindsets can have an impact on our larger society.
We encourage everyone to Save the Date to join our main celebration, which will be held a little early on Wednesday 6 March, at 3pm at Switch Restaurant at Watergardens Town Centre.
